The Forum Admin Panel

The admin panel is the central hub for all administrative needs on a forum. Only the main Admin has full access to the admin panel and its entire suite of functionality.

Accessing the Admin Panel​

To access the admin panel on a forum, you must be logged into the forum as the main Admin, or as a member that is assigned the appropriate power to access the admin panel.

Note

The Admin can grant admin panel access to another member by adding them to a group. The powers of the assigned group determine which areas of the admin panel the member can access.

Via Navigation menu
Click on the menu icon to open the navigation sidebar. If you have access to the admin panel, the Admin link will be displayed.

Via Direct Access
If the navigation link is not present in the navigation sidebar, or you have locked yourself out with template changes, you can always access the admin panel by adding /admin to the URL of your forum (for example: myforum.proboards.com/admin).

Important

Direct Access will only work if you are the Admin or have admin panel access via a group.

Admin Panel Sitemap​

The admin panel sitemap mirrors the layout of the admin panel navigation menu. Sitemap items are linked to their corresponding Help Guide page.
