PB Directory

ProBoards offers a directory of its hosted forums that users can search to find forums that match their interests. Being included in the directory provides a great opportunity for your forum to be discovered. The directory is available on the ProBoards Homepage.

Displays the information that is currently in the directory (directory brand image, forum name and description).

Forum Category
From the dropdown selector choose the category that best matches your forum's subject matter.

Forum Description
Following the Directory Guidelines enter a brief description of your forum, not to exceed 75 characters.

Click each description to reveal how it rates.

"This is a forum all about drinks that are carbonated."
A generic description with no keywords limiting the chance of being discovered in a search.
"History of carbonated or fizzy drinks known as cola, soda, pop, or seltzer."
A better description that uses good keywords for search and tells the user more about the forum.
tip

When a user searches the directory, the search will yield results based on both the forum name and description. Your description should include unique keywords specific to what your forum is about.

Directory Brand Image
Add an image to display in the directory that represents your forum. Typically square images work best. There are three ways to add an image:

  • Drag and drop a file from your computer.
  • Click the Media Library button to select an image from your forum's media library.
  • Click the Upload File button to select an image from your computing device.

Confirm Submission
Tick the box indicating you have read and agree to the Directory Guidelines and that your forum is in compliance with the ProBoards Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Click the Submit Forum For Review button to complete the submission process.

You will receive a PM when your directory submission is approved. If your submission is not approved, you will receive a PM explaining why. You will need to make the indicated change and resubmit.

Directory Guidelines​

The following are guidelines that you should follow when submitting your forum to the directory. Please note that we may reject entries that do not follow these guidelines:

  • Forum name cannot be blank or "forum"
  • Do not use ALL CAPS in your forum title or description
  • Do Not Capitalize The First Letter Of Every Word In Your Description
  • Please use proper capitalization, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Select the appropriate category for your forum
  • Do not mention web site URLs or IPs in your title or description
  • No HTML, BBCode, or other codes are allowed
  • Your forum must not be in violation of any ProBoards policies including our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
