Group Leaders
Group Leaders manage a group's membership. Leaders can manually add and remove members to the group, regardless of the group type. However they cannot remove other Leaders from the group.
The Leader position is ideal for Petition groups since members must request to join and be approved. The group's Leader can approve or deny a join request.
Leaders are assigned per group. When a forum member is added as a group Leader they are automatically added as a member of that group, if they were not already a member.
- A group can have more than one Leader assigned.
- A member can be assigned as a Leader to more than one group.
Note
A group Leader is optional and not a necessity for the creation of a group.
Adding a Group Leader
Leaders can be added to a group as it is being created, or anytime after by editing the group.
New Leaders are added on the Manage Members tab of the group properties dialog box. In the Leaders field begin typing the member's name and select the desired member. Repeat for additional Leaders. Click Save when done.

Removing a Group Leader
Edit the group and click on the Manage Members tab. Click on the to the right of the Leader's name to remove the member from being a Leader. Click Save.
- This does not affect any other group where the member is a Leader.
- Removing a member's Leader status does not delete them from the group.
Being a Group Leader
A Leader does not need admin panel access to manage a group. From the Groups section of one's profile, click on the group name to display the Group Info dialog box.
Info Tab
The Info tab displays the group's name, type and what powers if any are assigned to the group.
Manage Members Tab
From the Manage Members tab a Leader can add members to the group, view the group's members list, and add a member to a block list.
Join Requests Tab
The Join Requests tab is only available when the group type is Petition. Members requesting to join the group will be listed under this tab.
Approve
Click the checkmark to add the member to the group. The member will receive a notification only if they have the associated notification enabled.Reject
Click the to not add the member to the group. Rejected members do not receive a notification that their request was denied.
Removing a Member from Group
From the Manage Members tab of the Group Info dialog box, click the View group members link.
Click the gear icon on the action bar and select Toggle Checkboxes. Tick the checkbox next to the member(s) to be removed from the group. Click on the gear icon again and select Remove from Group. There is no confirmation, member(s) are immediately removed.
Removed member(s) no longer have access to the powers that were assigned the group. Deleting a member from a group does not delete the member from the forum.
