To change the colors and images for your forum, first navigate to your forum's Administration Panel. Next, click the "Skins / Forum Colors" link under the "Customize Your Forum" section. On the next page, you'll have options to create a new skin, modify an existing skin, delete an existing skin, set a skin as your forum's default, as well as customize the images on your forum.
You can choose to either modify an existing skin or create a new skin. If you would like to create a new skin, select "Create Skin" from the menu; here you will be provided with a variety of different options. Be sure to give the skin you're creating an appropriate name as your members will refer to this name when choosing which skin to use on your forum. If you would prefer to edit an existing skin, select "Modify Skin" from the menu and choose the skin you would like to edit.
When editing a skin, you will find many options available. You can customize many different colors on your forum from this page. When changing a color, you should enter the 6-digit-hex color code of the color you want. For example, FFFFFF is white and 000000 is black. If you are unsure of what color you're looking for, click on the "Color Chart" link to pop out many colors you can choose from. Make sure you do not leave any of the color fields blank. Remember, you can always go back and make changes to your skin with the "Modify Skin" link, or remove it with the "Delete Skin" link.
If you have more than one skin on your forum, you can change which default skin your visitors see. To do this, first click on the "Set Default Skin" menu option: Next, select the skin you would like to make the default from the drop-down menu and click "Continue" to complete the process. It's important to note that existing forum members will not see a change in their selected skin option. These members can view the new skin via the "Modify Profile" page.
You can change the default ProBoards images to your own through the "Customize Images" page. First, upload your images to your web hosting provider or an image hosting service. Then, on the "Customize Images" page, locate the image you want to replace, then enter the your replacement image's URL in the box at the right of the image. When you are done, click "Save Changes".
If you want to switch to a skin that was just created, you will need to edit your profile. Click "Profile" at the top of the page and click "Modify Profile": Then, scroll down to the option "Select Skin" and pick the skin you would like from the drop-down menu. Lastly, click the "Modify Profile" button at the bottom of the page to save.
